“With Adidas Falcon we are continuing to develop the adidas Originals narrative,” Alegra O’Hare, VP Global Brand Communications said. “We are interested in creating tomorrow’s streetwear by reinventing the most iconic sportswear from our archives.” Additionally, Jenner says “I’ve always loved adidas and it’s exciting now being part of the Originals family, especially for Falcon.” With Travis Scott’s influential Nike partnership continuously gaining momentum, the news of Kylie’s adidas deal could potentially make this young couple one of the most powerful duos in marketing.
With an upper featuring bold paneled detailing and an aggressive midsole taken from the adidas YUNG-1, the ladies-only Adidas Falcon is an undoubtedly striking silhouette. Now, the Three Stripes has turned the eye-popping detail up another notch by adding a wild combo of blues and pastel colors to the heritage-inspired sneaker.
Calling upon a light teal mesh for the base, the upper features a veritable cornucopia of colorways on the suede and leather overlays: navy blue, purple, fuschia, and steel grey all make an appearance, as do small chromed-out hits on both the lateral and medial forefoot. The crazy color combination doesn’t stop on the midsole either, as the heel receives an aqua blue, the midfoot is dressed in grey, and the forefoot opts for a simple white. Adidas Falcon
Its retro-styled upper and compelling midsole — borrowed from the adidas YUNG-1 — are perfectly on trend, and a release slate of colorways both casual and colorful ensure that there’s a Falcon for every female foot. It’s not just in-line Adidas Falcon that are generating excitement though: a special version done in collaboration with Japanese retailer BEAMS is set to release later this month. Featuring an upper constructed of black suede, leather, and mesh as well as a blacked-out midsole, the new shoes add a bright pop of kelly green to the outsole for a touch of classic adidas EQT-style contrast, and are completed by the Falcon’s signature jeweled detail on the forefoot.
