    Hello,

    Coming to work today ludicrously early to avoid subway closures due to the Giant's parade I had time to ponder those around me. Many were bearing the standards of the NYC commuter (black coats, blank stares, no talking) however there were quite a few dressed in the style of those sportballers they so admire. Guttural grunts were heard to much much acclamation. Stations a light in applause and jocularity despite the dark looks of those who have daily trodden this PATH to their toils.
    I could not help but remember a similar time with a different group of brightly dressed devotee at the annual New York City Comic Con. Reactions to the same event, those dressed and spoken as those they admire, were met with more humor and not a small amount spurn. Is the sports fan not also drawn to fantasy in the form of electronic game? Why is one group lauded above the other when the action is so similar?

    Hello,

    I was thinking about college football in paticular. It seems like the production, effort, and preparation that goes into the typical college football season would require the same type of schedule and focus that NFL teams need. Hours and hours of practice and training, along with the hype and media coverage, seem like pretty big distractions.
    How can these guys pull this off and remain full-time students with acceptable grades? Is their shoddy academic performance just swept under the rug because of their athletic ability or are they just THAT motivated? I don't get it.

    Hello,

    I've spent a few days on this and trawled forums both here and the official Minecraft ones to no avail. With the move from being Forge/ModLoader compatible to being a total conversion BTW is no longer compatible with most other Minecraft mods. Which doesn't bother me except for the ability to replace sounds. Most specifically I miss Audiotori and maybe MAtmos. With Audiotori it was possible to replace vanilla sounds and music to freshen up MC.
    Now of course it doesn't work and I've been trying to find an alternative. I've tried replacing the files in the Minecraft folder, just to have them overwritten by the launcher. I've tried replacing the files and tagging them read only, just to have Minecraft ignore them. I believe it does either a filesize check or hash check on the audio files and if they don't match it's no go.Now I've played around this a lot but I've had little luck. Has anybody found a way to make this work?

    Hello,

    I have a Skytec PA-201 powered sound system for guitar and microphone. It has developed a problem that I need help with please. When I switch the PA on with mains connected, and turn up the main volume, there is a loud cyclical, pulsing audio noise at about 100 beats per minute. The battery status LEDs (3 green and 1 red) are all lit...but are pulsing at the same rate as the audio noise.The noise level increases as I turn up the main volume. If I then try to play a guitar through the PA, I hear pulsing echo sounds of the notes played.
    I have left the PA connected to mains for 2-3 hours but, when I try use it using the internal battery, the LEDs are at about half the illumination level, there is no pulsing and I cannot play anything though the PA.

    Any help will be apprecited.
