If you thought the subsequent Panic Week鈩?was just an output from the TST Marketing Dept., my friend you were mistaken. Our FanPulse confidence results have Rams fans’ confidence levels in the Rams plummeting all the way down to 49%. That puts Rams fans’ confidence at the 15th highest among all NFL fan bases, slightly ahead that of New York Giants fans over at Big Blue View who came in 16th at 40%. For reference Cory Littleton Jersey , the Giants have won four of their last six games en route to a 5-9 record. The only team with a better record than the 11-3 Rams is the 12-2 New Orleans Saints; over at Canal Street Chronicles, Saints fans are riding a 100% confidence crest. The other two 11-3 teams, the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs, have fan bases with much higher confidence levels with just two games remaining. Chargers fans at Bolts from the Blue are at 88% while Chiefs fans over at Arrowhead Pride are at 85%.Strangely though, there are three teams with fan bases’ confidence levels in the 90s.The 10-4 Chicago Bears via Windy City Gridiron have fans’ confidence levels at 97%. The surging 8-6 Indianapolis Colts reported a 94% confidence level via Stampede Blue. And one team’s fans hit 97% despite a record of............(wait for it).........6-7-1.That’s right. The Cleveland Browns’ fans at Dawgs by Nature are at 97%:It’s a fickle thing, that confidence. As always http://www.theramslockerroom.com/authentic-john-kelly-jersey , thanks as always to the TSTers who are voting to give us the data each week! The Eagles are already discussing their plans to extend quarterback Carson Wentz, despite the uncertainties created by his injuries. The Rams are in no such hurry with a healthy Jared Goff.Via Gary Klein of the , Rams coach Sean McVay said the Rams haven’t begun that process with their quarterback yet.“Jared’s obviously extremely important to us,” McVay said. “But those are things that, we know we want to get him done at some point. Whether it happens this year Womens Troy Hill Jersey , next year, those are things we haven’t really gotten into in depth about yet.”Goff is entering the fourth year of his rookie deal, and the Rams always have the option of the fifth-year option. But they’ve capitalized on the most valuable commodity in the NFL — a good quarterback on a cheap rookie deal — and have stacked enough players around Goff to get to a Super Bowl. He’ll need to improve to be the kind of quarterback who can win without all that help, but the Rams have time to make such decisions and apparently are willing to take it.
Former Chiefs head coach and longtime NFL assistant coach Gunther Cunningham has died.Cunningham died on Saturday after a brief illness. He was 72 years old and is survived by his wife Demetrius Harris Jersey , children and grandson among other family members and loved ones.Cunningham was born in Germany and grew up in California before going to the University of Oregon to play football. He moved into coaching at the school in 1969 and took his first NFL job with the Colts in 1982. He worked for the Chargers and Raiders before becoming the Chiefs’ defensive coordinator in 1995.He would stay in that job for four years before succeeding Marty Schottenheimer as the head coach for the 1999 season. Cunningham went 16-16 over two years before being fired.Cunningham would return to Kansas City as the defensive coordinator from 2004-2008 and had the same job with the Lions from 2009-2013. He last coached as a senior assistant in Detroit from 2014-2016.Our condolences to Cunningham’s family and loved ones on their loss. You can trade this year’s assets and can’t trade 2020 draft picks or players. This year, the Arrowhead Pride draft team worked together to come up with our plan of attack. We used the KC Draft Guide to help us navigate and make our selections. The board was not kind to the Kansas City Chiefs, but we navigated it. We talked about these players and scenarios more in-depth on the week’s episode of the AP Draft Show.To the mock...29. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson Mitchell Schwartz Jersey , safetyUnfortunately for us, the run on EDGEs ended way before we could select one. Clelin Ferrell was off the board in the first half of round one. Defensive lineman Jerry Tillery came off the board at 20 and Byron Murphy went next. There wasn’t a trade-up opportunity to get those guys either. Gardner-Johnson and Garrett Bradbury were both available. We tried to trade back and acquire another top-120 pick.Gardner-Johnson was the highest graded player on the board. We’d have preferred not to select a safety this high (you’ll see why later, so keep reading), but backed into a corner, we still got a good football player.TRADE UP: 40. Justin Layne De’Anthony Thomas Jersey , cornerbackWe elected to aggressively move up to guarantee that we added a cornerback into the mix. We could have sat and let the board fall, but that would be risky. We traded picks 61, 92 and 167 to Buffalo for picks 40 and 181 to add either Amani Oruwariye or Layne. Both are graded similarly, but we like the upside of Layne to develop.63. Anthony Nelson, EDGEThe downfalls of drafting a safety in the first round showed itself here. Maryland safety Darnell Savage was available here at 63. The gap between Gardner-Johnson and Savage isn’t enormous. Savage would have been excellent value here. We couldn’t get out of day two without addressing the defensive end position. We had to choose between Nelson and Texas EDGE Charles Omenihu. Ultimately Laurent Duvernay-Tardif Jersey , we chose to go with the player with a little more ability against the run.181. Porter Gustin, EDGE/linebackerGustin was good value here this late in the draft. He could be a SAM linebacker with additional pass rush ability or potentially hold up at defensive end. He’s a more flexible pass rusher than what the Chiefs currently have on the roster. We chose between Gustin and Hawaii linebacker Jahlani Tavai.201. Jahlani Tavai, linebackerLucky for us, a player we considered at 181 was still available. Tavai has SAM potential as well but could also play as a mike linebacker as well. You’re getting the full spectrum at the SAM potentially with these two. Tavai has special teams potential as well and can fill in as a backup.214. Keelan Doss, wide receiverSmall school prospect that was highly productive in his time at UC-Davis. He impressed at the Senior Bowl. Doss is tremendous value this late in the exercise. Doss would make the Chiefs 53-man roster and have a chance to develop into an excellent weapon for Patrick Mahomes moving forward.216. Trevon Wesco Ron Parker Jersey , fullback/tight endPositional versatility, high football character. Wesco is an excellent blocker that flashed route-running ability and soft hands at the Senior Bowl.KC Draft GuideThe first-ever edition of the KC Draft Guide launched this week! GREEN BAY Youth Sony Michel Jerseys , Wis. (AP)Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers doesn’t hold back on the field, even when teammates around him limp off to the sideline. The types of things that Rodgers can do might be limited, especially when two backup offensive tackles must help take on the task of protecting one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks. But regardless of who’s healthy, Rodgers has a one-track mind. ”I don’t ever want to take a conservative approach,” Rodgers said Wednesday. ”I don’t think (coach Mike McCarthy) does, either. It’s about being aggressive and scoring.” Something that Green Bay was a little more successful at after halftime of last week’s 34-23 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The Packers fell behind 31-7 before rallying somewhat against an Atlanta defense that played it safe for much of the second half. Then again, it was a respectable effort given how injuries left Green Bay so short-handed. Health is an issue again this week as McCarthy’s team prepares for a visit from the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. The Packers listed 13 players on the injury report to start the week. Standout lineman Mike Daniels (hip) and starting cornerback Davon House (quad) were among players on defense who left the Falcons game. Pass rusher Nick Perry (hand) was a new addition to the injury report this week. All three players missed practice. The injury report on offense read like a Pro Bowl roster, with receivers Jordy Nelson (quad) and Randall Cobb leaving the game. Initially knocked out of the game with a shoulder injury, Cobb was listed on Wednesday with a chest injury. The Packers were already without left tackle David Bakhtiari (hamstring) and right tackle Bryan Bulaga (ankle). ”Hopefully it stays at 13 today,” McCarthy said about the lengthy injury report. ”Those guys will all work in either the rehab group and hopefully move to limited or start in limited and hopefully move to full (participation).” While Cobb and Bakhtiari sat out the short practice on Wednesday, the Packers got good news with Bulaga and Nelson returning as full participants. Nelson likened his injury to a charley horse. Nelson and Cobb are seasoned veterans who have Rodgers’ trust Sony Michel Jerseys Stitched , though a deep receiving group might be able to withstand being without the top two wideouts for a short period of time. It’s a bit different on the line, where the Packers are thin on experienced backups at tackle. ”It was a positive start moving around, and not have too much restricted movement or anything like that,” Bulaga said. ”So that was a positive, and wake up tomorrow, see how it feels. Have the trainers and doc look at it, and kind of move on from there.” Kyle Murphy, a sixth-round draft pick in 2016, started on the left side. Undrafted free agent rookie Adam Pankey, who was called up from the practice squad, started at right tackle in his first NFL game. Rodgers was under duress for much of the game against Atlanta Trey Flowers Jersey , getting sacked three times. He took a few shots, and the Packers are lucky their franchise quarterback didn’t suffer a serious injury. Considering the circumstances, it was a good night for Rodgers. ”He wasn’t worried about who was playing tackle. He was more focused on scoring points,” McCarthy said. ”I think that’s a component of his greatness that I really appreciate. Sometimes I feel like I have to try to protect him from himself because he is so aggressive as a player.” NOTES: Linebacker Ahmad Brooks (concussion), who missed the Falcons game, returned to practice as a full participant. The Packers signed Brooks as a free agent after he was cut by San Francisco following the preseason to add depth to the pass rush. ”I really wanted to come here and show what I was all about from the jump and that’s the very first game of the season,” Brooks said about being hurt for much of the first two weeks of the season. ”I was upset that I couldn’t do that at that time.” — The misguided takes began to flow not long after the MVP of Super Bowl LIII was named. Julian Edelman . . . Hall of Famer? No. No. And no.Look, Edelman has played a key role in three Super Bowl championships for the Patriots. But the key word is role. He’s a role player, a slot receiver who has a specific skill set that has a specific impact that hasn’t translated into the kind of production and career accomplishments that would transcend the limited part he plays in the Patriots’ success.Yes, it’s an important role. But if he wasn’t doing it, someone else would be.Edelman is the guy who benefits from a scheme that takes full advantage of the slot receiver Womens Deatrich Wise Jr Jersey , creating mismatches and openings and putting him in the right place at the right time when the right quarterback throws the right pass. Again, Edelman’s role has been critical to the team’s success. But it’s not the kind of thing that vaults him toward the game’s immortals, at least not based on his current career achievements.Consider his statistics. In 10 NFL seasons, he has two 1,000-yard receiving performances. He has 499 regular-season catches and 5,390 regular-season receiving yards. That puts him in a tie for 148th in all-time receptions and at 248 in all-time receiving yards. With only 30 receiving touchdowns, he’s well out of the top 250.Of course, Edelman has performed in the postseason, currently sitting second all-time in receptions and receiving yardage. And he has earned three Super Bowl rings. While those realities may have been enough to secure a spot in Canton for Lynn Swann, there are too many receivers who have done too much more during the week-in, week-out grind to elevate Edelman to a spot in Canton based on his playoff play. The Super Bowl MVP award helps http://www.patriotslockerroom.com/authentic-james-harrison-jersey , but plenty of Super Bowl MVPs will never see the Hall of Fame without a ticket for admission. (If you don’t believe me, Google the list.) And that’s not to say Edelman can’t get there. If he somehow wins the Super Bowl MVP award again next year, it becomes a lot harder to argue against him.For now, though, to even mention his name in connection with induction reflects the kind of short-sighted, moment-prisoner thinking that would make the Hall of Fame into the Hall of Hey Where Are We Gonna Put All These Busts? Then there’s the PED wrinkle. While football fans seem to be far more tolerant of PED use than baseball fans, Edelman’s four-game suspension to start the 2018 season remains a permanent stain on his record, one that could turn a borderline case into a no.For now, the case isn’t even borderline. It’s a no, with Edelman having the chance to do more things that could maybe nudge him toward the fringes of consideration. One way to do it would be to catch a lot more passes and gain a lot more yards from Week One through Week 17.

Evan got Foster Moreau within a pick late and Tyler Green got Josh Jacobs in the first round, but at 27. BD got Hunter Renfrow, but with the last pick. Thomas Wheaton got Maxx Crosby, albeit later in the draft than he went. So, five of the eight got one pick correct. Not bad.Now we get to the fans. I got 167 submissions. Of those 111 got at least one correct pick. Of those 27 got at least one correct pick in the correct round. The rules of the contest were that to win, you must correctly pick at least two of the Raiders’ selections. 16 people did that. Of those, 11 had at least one of those picks at the correct spot (I gave some forgiveness late due to the trades). But only one person got three correct picks — centergroveraiders who correctly picked the Raiders three first round picks, with Johnathan Abram in the correct spot. So, that’s our winner with the bragging rights and T-shirt that come with it.A close second is I Bleed Silver & Mack who nailed the Raiders top two picks of Ferrell Jacobs in the correct spots followed by Craig who got Jacobs in the correct spot and Hunter Renfrow later. 68. HOUSTON TEXANS (4-12)LAST SEASON: Texans won AFC South in past two seasons before failing to make postseason in 2017 as they dealt with numerous injuries Benardrick McKinney Jersey White , including to rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson and superstar defensive end J.J. Watt. Best news of dreadful season was play of Watson in seven games before he tore anterior cruciate ligament in right knee in practice. He threw for 1,699 yards and 19 touchdowns, giving Texans hope they’ve finally found franchise quarterback after years of misfires and disappointment. Another bright spot was continued improvement of 2014 top overall pick Jadeveon Clowney. Defensive end finished second in NFL with career-high 21 tackles for losses and his 9 1/2 sacks, 21 quarterback hits and two forced fumbles were also career bests. He had career-high 59 tackles and started all 16 games for first time in career after struggling with injuries in first two NFL seasons before playing 14 games in 2016.THEY NEED: LT, RT Stephen Anderson Jersey White , TE.THEY DON’T NEED: QB, WR, DE.POSSIBLE FIRST PICK: T Jamarco Jones, Ohio State; T Tyrell Crosby, Oregon; TE Durham Smythe D'Onta Foreman Jersey White , Notre Dame.OUTLOOK: Texans desperately need to upgrade offensive line to better protect Watson after trading franchise left tackle Duane Brown to Seattle last season. But it will be tough in draft because they don’t have pick until third round. Houston sent first-round pick in this year’s draft to Cleveland last year to trade up to get Watson, and previously shipped second-round pick in 2018 to Browns as part of deal to get rid of Brock Osweiler. That leaves new general manager Brian Gaine, taking over after Rick Smith took leave of absence to care for ailing wife, with eight picks in Rounds 3-7 seven to try and find some pieces to upgrade team looking to bounce back after last year’s nosedive.33<button class="view-gallery">View Gallery</button> Gallery:REDIRECT::2018 NFL Draft First Round Draft OrderScott R. Former Detroit Lions wide receiver Titus Young. was released from prison over the weekend on parole after serving 20 months of a four-year sentence.According to Nathan Fenno of the Womens Ricky Wagner Jersey , Young was released on Saturday from the California Health Care Facility in Stockton, Calif. In all, Young accumulated over 20 criminal charges against him since 2013.Young attributed his issues to bipolar disorder and hearing voices in diary entries he gave to the .Young was a second-round pick of the Lions in 2011 and caught 81 passes for 990 yards and 10 touchdowns in his two seasons in Detroit. The Lions released Young in January 2013 after he refused to correctly line up in a Thanksgiving day game against the Packers and later blasted the team on his Twitter account. Jones broke the news on his Instagram story yesterday, announcing that: “It’s official that I’m done with the NFL, cuz”Now 35-years old, Jones was originally the Tennessee Titans’ sixth-overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. Jones spent just two seasons in Tennessee before missing the 2007 season as punishment for the first incident he was involved with in Las Vegas where three people were injured as a result of a shooting. The Cowboys took a chance on Jones in 2008, but he lasted just half a season year there before he was released and was out of Football for 2009 after nearly playing for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL. Once the Bengals took a chance on Jones in 2010, some stability had entered his football life. He played eight seasons in Cincinnati and was a starter in four of them. He had developed into a solid starter but truly excelled as a return man, earning First-Team All-Pro honors in 2014.Unfortunately Womens Vontaze Burfict Jersey , Jones couldn’t escape trouble in Cincinnati. A couple incidents occurring at downtown bars, an assault at a casino followed by verbal assault at a police officer and more recently, a violent altercation at another casino, make up Jones’ extensive rap sheet just in Cincinnati.Jones was ultimately let go of the Bengals in 2018 and later joined the Denver Broncos that season. He would go on to playing in just seven games.Through the ups and downs, Jones managed to stay in the league for a long period of time and the Bengals were the team to get the most out of him. Here’s hoping he has a happy, and hopefully uneventful, retirement. The Bengals did plenty of improving this offseason. They were far more active than usual in free agency, and they hired Zac Taylor as their new head coach. One problem still remains Jordan Willis Jersey , though."The offseason portion of teams acquiring players has pretty much come to an end. While an NFL roster is always in constant fluctuation, free agency and the NFL draft is where we see teams change the most. We now have a pretty good idea how each team’s 90-man roster will look.ESPN recently went through and found the biggest hole still left on every teams’ roster. The Bengals hole really shouldn’t come as any surprise to those who have been paying attention. The linebacker position has been a prominent issue for the Bengals for a few seasons now. It has become a more glaring issue in recent years as NFL offenses are passing far more frequently (especially to running backs and tight ends). Vontaze Burfict covered this issue for a few seasons, but then it became hard to rely on him to be available due to suspensions and injuries. Towards the end of his time with Cincinnati, he was even a liability when he could make his way on the field. The Bengals essentially repeated their 2018 strategy to address the issue this year. They drafted a linebacker in the third round and signed Preston Brown, only this time, they re-signed him to a multi-year extension after he spent most of 2018 injured. It just doesn’t seem like the Bengals view this as much of an issue as they should.Look at how they addressed the offensive line in the past two years. They traded for left tackle Cordy Glenn, drafted a center in Billy Price and a tackle in Jonah Williams in the first round, signed John Miller to start at right guard and spent a couple of Day 3 picks on interior linemen Rod Taylor and Michael Jordan. You could even throw in there that they decided to give a competitive contract to Bobby Hart (although I prefer to try and repress that memory). The difference in apparent urgency is obvious when you compare the two position groups. In fairness Womens Vincent Rey Jersey , the Bengals didn’t have an opportunity to draft either Devin Bush or Devin White after both were selected in the first round. However, they still could’ve made more of an effort to bring in outside help via free agency. Offensive line and linebackers were the two position groups that simply weren’t good following the 2017 season, but only one has seen at the very least the attention it deserves. There is just so much unknown going into 2019 as far as linebackers go. How much will the change of the defensive scheme help this group after former-defensive coordinator Teryl Austin failed to get anything out of them? Can Nick Vigil take that next step into becoming a reliable three-down linebacker? Can Malik Jefferson prove he should’ve gotten a chance last season? How much of a learning curve will Germaine Pratt have in his rookie season? Can Jordan Evans, Chris Worley or even rookie Deshaun Davis push for the second nickel linebacker position as well? These are all questions that we really won’t know until the pads come on. However, for the Bengals to be successful on defense they probably need at least three of these guys to emerge as players who can make an impact or at least cover someone. It is no secret that last year the Bengals’ linebackers couldn’t cover anyone, and other teams knew that. For the Bengals defense to take that next step, that issue needs to be resolved.Fans have to hope that a year of development and a change to Lou Anarumo as the defensive coordinator will help a position group that has simply been one of the worst in football the past few seasons. We will have to wait and see if any of these linebackers can rise to the top and prove the Bengals didn’t need to make huge wholesale changes to their linebacker personnel.
MIAMI (AP) — Five-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh officially was released Wednesday by the Miami Dolphins at the start of free agency Miami Dolphins Jerseys 2019 , and the team made official the trades to acquire defensive end Robert Quinn and send Jarvis Landry to the Cleveland Browns.Miami also announced the release of tight end Julius Thomas, which had been expected. The Dolphins decided to keep right tackle Ja’Wuan James, which guarantees him $9.34 million in 2018.Restructured contracts for quarterback Ryan Tannehill and Pro Bowl safety Reshad Jones cleared $18 million in cap space. The Dolphins converted $16.7 million of Tannehill’s 2018 salary to bonus pay, underscoring their long-term investment in him, and converted $9.4 million of Jones’ salary this year to bonus pay.Suh was halfway through the $114 million, six-year deal he signed when he joined the Dolphins in 2015. Along with the incentive of creating $17 million in cap space this year Andrew Van Ginkel Jersey nfl draft , the move was widely seen as part of coach Adam Gase’s attempt to improve the locker room culture following a 6-10 season.Suh’s standoffish personality raised questions about his leadership, and he has never been on a team that won a playoff game.Landry went to the Browns for a fourth-round draft pick this year and a seventh-rounder in 2019. Quinn was acquired from the Los Angeles Rams for a fourth-round pick, and the teams swapped sixth-round choices.Thomas was a disappointment in his lone season with Miami, catching 41 passes for 388 yards and three scores.Miami tendered three exclusive rights free agents: center Jake Brendel, linebacker Mike Hull and defensive back Jordan Lucas. The team declined to tender offensive lineman Anthony Steen, linebacker Neville Hewitt Daniel Kilgore Jersey , quarterback David Fales or running back De’Veon Smith, making them free to negotiate with any team.131<button class="view-gallery">View Gallery</button> Gallery:Miami Dolphins cheerleadersSteve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports | Steve Mitchell The Miami Dolphins are signing cornerback Xavien Howard to a contract extension that will make the Pro Bowler the highest paid cornerback in the league, according to various media reports. Howard led the NFL in interceptions last year, earning his first Pro Bowl selection and Second-Team All-Pro honors.Miami selected Howard in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He was heading into the final year of his rookie contract. The contract will pay Howard $51 million in the first three years of the deal, according to the Palm Beach Post’s Joe Schad. In three seasons with the Dolphins, Howard has recorded 123 tackles with 11 interceptions, including his seven last year, as well as 31 passes defensed Josh Sitton Jersey , one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one sack. As the top four point-producers in the NFL were advancing to the conference championship round for the first time ever Taylor Rapp Jersey Cheap , Dak Prescott was getting sacked by his own teammate, Tom Brady was embracing the underdog role a little too tightly and C.J. Anderson was making the most of his second, third … no, fourth chance. The Patriots (12-5) reached their eighth straight AFC championship and 13th in the Brady-Bill Belichick era. Yet, there was Brady after New England pulverized the Chargers telling CBS’ Tracy Wolfson, “I know everyone thinks we suck, and, you know, can’t win any games. So, we’ll see. It’ll be fun.”Brady will try to get to his ninth Super Bowl on Sunday when the Patriots visit the Kansas City Chiefs (13-4), who walloped the Colts 31-13 behind Patrick Mahomes for their first playoff win at Arrowhead since 2004.Maybe Brady was miffed that his team was installed as an underdog (three points) for the first time in 67 games.Or maybe he’s just not too thrilled about hitting the road, where the Patriots went 3-5 Taylor Rapp Jersey Womens , instead of staying home where they went 9-0 and trailed for just seven minutes total — all against the Chiefs, whom they beat 43-40 on Oct. 14.As Brady shoots for his third consecutive trip to the Super Bowl, Mahomes will try to get the Chiefs into their first one since 1970.A random act of kindness has netted AFC Championship tickets for a man called Dave who helped dig a Chiefs backup guard Jeff Allen out of the snow Saturday as he was headed to the game.Allen tweeted that “a nice guy named Dave” got him back on the road and asked his followers to help him find the man so he could give him tickets to the conference championship.Hundreds of people replied — many claiming to be Dave — and thousands retweeted the plea.On Sunday, Allen tweeted that he has found the real Dave “despite the recent influx in people changing their name to Dave in the KC area lol.”Prescott didn’t have to look far for the player who bear-hugged him on his only sack in Dallas’ 30-22 loss to the Rams on Saturday night — it was his own right tackle La’el Collins.Dante Fowler was credited with the 8-yard sack that pushed Dallas out of field goal range late in the first half. What made the play unusual was that Fowler barely got a hand on Prescott — OK, he slapped him four times — but Prescott somehow ended up with Collins draped all over him.Prescott spun free and ran to his right. But as Aaron Donald closed in, officials blew the play dead.“From my view the quarterback’s progress had stopped moving forward,” referee John Parry explained. “There were hands around him and another defender was coming, so we went in the grasp to protect the quarterback.”The Rams (14-3) won thanks to a 273-yard rushing effort that included 123 yards and two touchdowns from Anderson, who howled afterward, “I’m just old and fat.”The Broncos jettisoned his fat contract in the spring with Anderson coming off his first 1,000-yard season, even though the running back that helped them win Super Bowl 50 had relatively few miles on his football odometer. The Panthers picked him up but then decided not to share many of Christian McCaffrey’s snaps with Anderson before cutting him late in the season. Anderson signed with his hometown Oakland Raiders but he was inactive for one game before they Taylor Rapp white jersey , too, waived him.The Rams needed a fill-in after star Todd Gurley II buckled a knee in December, and Anderson quickly picked up his phone and L.A.’s playbook. He rumbled for 299 yards and two TDs on 43 carries for a whopping 7-yard average over the final two regular-season games. Then, with Gurley back, Anderson ran all over the Cowboys, giving him 422 yards and four TDs on 66 carries for a 6.3-yard average.“I think the last two weeks without Todd, he showed what he can do,” Rams quarterback Jared Goff said. “Then, this week, having both of them is special and it gives you a real dual-threat of backs and different backs. … It’s just been a really good combo.”Anderson allows the Rams to take their own 1-2 backfield punch into the NFC championship against the Saints (14-3), who have running backs Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram to share their rushing load.“I think C.J.’s done a great job since he’s gotten here and then, obviously Taylor Rapp Los Angeles Rams Jerseys , we know what a special player Todd is,” Rams coach Sean McVay said after Gurley ran 16 times for 115 yards and a TD against Dallas. “… I think they are a nice complement to each other.”Anderson, 27, could have given up after three teams that didn’t even make the playoffs gave up on him in 2018.Instead, he’s salvaged a career and surely has general managers salivating at the thought of his impending free agency this spring.“I guess it was a good thing I got hurt,” cracked Gurley. Rams coach Sean McVay talked to his team about the controversial non-call in the NFC Championship afterward. He has not talked individually with cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman, who interfered with Tommylee Lewis without drawing a flag. The Rams also have not talked about it this week as they ready to host the Saints on Sunday. They have been reminded of it constantly, though.“It was something that, we all know what it looked like,” McVay told reporters Wednesday. “Obviously, nobody’s going to sit here and say that wasn’t a pass interference, and that’s why it led to some rules being changed. Even though that play benefited our team Los Angeles Rams Jerseys 2019 , nobody wants anything but a fair game. Those clear and obvious plays that we can avoid, we want to be able to do that, and that’s exactly how we feel as a team, too.”While admitting the Rams “benefited” from the missed call, McVay also points out that 19 plays followed. The Saints defense had a chance to stop the Rams from a game-tying 48-yard field goal with 15 seconds remaining in regulation; Drew Brees threw an interception in overtime; and the Saints defense had a chance to stop the Rams from getting into position for the game-winning 57-yard field goal.“There’s a lot of plays in a game, and I think it’s good that the competition committee made the effort to be able to try to avoid some of those things happening in the future, and that’s exactly what we all want,” McVay said. “. . .You address it. You could ask Nickell Robey. He knows that was a pass interference. In the moment, that was kind of what was officiated, and you’ve got to just kind of play those next snaps, and there was a lot of snaps after that as well.”

Last year’s stint there led to him earning practice player of the week honors six times Authentic Jarrett Stidham Jersey , while gathering experience for another run at the 53. However, he failed to stand out this summer and even with Jordan Richards traded to the Atlanta Falcons is not able to survive the cut.Meanwhile, Bowanko’s tenure with the team will likely come to an end. As part of the injury settlement, he will now receive pre-negotiated payments by New England for a period that depends on the severity of his injury. However Jarrett Stidham Jersey Boys , he cannot be re-signed by the Patriots during that time. Once that settlement period is over, Bowanko is free to join any team’s roster but would have to wait an additional six weeks to join New England’s again.
Watson will miss the first four games of the season."You may have heard it by now Womens N'Keal Harry Jersey , but the New England Patriots’ tight end position saw some considerable turnover this offseason: Rob Gronkowski decided to end his Hall of Fame career at just 29, Dwayne Allen was released in a cost-cutting move, and Jacob Hollister was shipped to the Seattle Seahawks via trade. With last year’s opening day trio gone, the Patriots were forced to completely re-tool their depth chart at the position over the last few months. In order to do that, the world champions brought in a trio of veteran players in free agency. One of those additions, however, will not be able to help the team over the first quarter of the season: as he announced on Sunday, Benjamin Watson has been suspended by the NFL for the first four games of the 2019 season after violating the league’s policy against performance enhancing drugs. The suspension, which brings back memories of similar penalties imposed against Rob Ninkovich in 2014 and Julian Edelman in 2018 Cheap N'Keal Harry Jersey , is obviously not ideal for both the player and the club that re-signed him earlier this month. In the grand scheme of things, on the other hand, it is not much more than the latest bump in the road for the Patriots’ tight end position — the latest personnel challenge the club will have to overcome.Don’t be surprised if they do just that. After all, New England’s 2019 offense appears to be headed in a different direction altogether than its tight end-heavy predecessors: with a Hall of Fame talent like Gronkowski no longer available, the unit will likely place a bigger focus on getting the deeper positions on the team involved — from one of the most talented running back corps in the NFL to a wide receiver crew headed by a Super Bowl MVP (Edelman) and a first-round rookie (N’Keal Harry). The tight end position, meanwhile, may no longer be the focal point in the team’s offensive attack that it was for the past nine years. Instead, the players at the position are expected to be used in accordance to the opponents’ weaknesses and how the Patriots plan to attack them in their game plan: Matt LaCosse and Austin Seferian-Jenkins will be the primary receiving threats at the position, with Ryan Izzo a candidate to fill the blocking duties alongside fullback/tight end hybrid James Develin.Watson would have fit in nicely in this usage scheme given his versatility and experience as both a blocker and a receiver. But even though he will miss the first four regular season games — the veteran already announced that he will not appeal the league’s decision — the 38-year-old will still play a prominent role when it comes to tutoring the younger players at the position. And Red N'Keal Harry Jersey , of course, once he returns in week five. All things considered, the suspension will therefore likely be little more than another blip on the Patriots’ offseason radar. Is it ideal? Obviously not, losing a player to a four-game ban never is. Is it a blow the team will be unable to overcome in light of all the recent turnover at the tight end position? Not even close — especially considering the remaining yet unproven talent as well as the overall development of New England’s personnel this offseason, and the way the direction in which the offense appears to be trending in because of it.Week 2 Patriots vs Jaguars inactives: Sony Michel and Rex Burkhead active, Derek Rivers a healthy scratch once again In a little more than 90 minutes, the New England Patriots will face the Jacksonville Jaguars in what is a battle between two teams projected to again be among the AFC’s best this year. Today’s matchup could therefore very well have serious playoff implications further down the line. For now, however, it’s just two teams looking to go 2-0 – and they will try to do so without the following players:Patriots inactivesMarcus Cannon and Keion Crossen being inactive was already announced by the team yesterday 2019 N'Keal Harry Jersey , after both players were listed as questionable on Friday’s final injury report. The duo is joined by five men – all five of them being healthy scratches: recently added Corey Coleman and Kenjon Barner will be out, as will be depth offensive lineman Brian Schwenke. Cornerback J.C. Jackson and Derek Rivers are also not active for the second straight week. Two players not listed above are running backs Sony Michel and Rex Burkhead: both will be active today after also being listed as questionable on Friday. Furthermore, tight end Jacob Hollister will make his 2018 debut as the Patriots’ number two receiving tight end behind Rob Gronkowski.Jaguars inactivesThe Jaguars’ best offensive player – running back Leonard Fournette – will indeed miss today’s game because of a hamstring injury. This means that T.J. Yeldon, who is dealing with an ankle issue himself, and Corey Grant will carry the load on the ground this week. More pressure will also be put on quarterback Blake Bortles.
Fans in Canada are having to pay regular-season prices if they want to attend the preseason game between the Packers and Raiders in Winnipeg. The reports that the cheapest tickets available anywhere are $112. That’s far more than the Packers’ other preseason games (two at Lambeau Field and one in Baltimore) Derek Carr Jersey White , all of which have tickets available on second-hand markets for less than $20.The NFL will also have a preseason game in Hawaii this year, and fans have complained that tickets for that game, the Cowboys against the Rams, are overpriced as well.If fans in places like Winnipeg and Hawaii prove willing to pay more for preseason tickets, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the league put more preseason games in other markets, as the league once did routinely with preseason games overseas. Eventually, however Antonio Brown Raiders Jersey , the low quality of preseason games seems destined to make fans everywhere realize that they’re simply not worth the price of admission. A day after Raiders General Manager Mike Mayock expressed frustration that wide receiver Antonio Brown is not participating in training camp, Brown’s agent said Brown will not be gone long.Drew Rosenhaus said on ESPN this morning that Brown should be back with the team soon. But Rosenhaus pushed back against the idea that Brown is being a diva, instead saying that Brown takes his health and safety seriously and continues to think the helmet he has worn throughout his career is the right helmet for him — despite NFL regulations that require him to change to an approved model.“I do think he’s going to be back soon,” Rosenhaus said. “We’re looking into any and all options right now to resolve the helmet issue. Antonio is very genuine. He wants to be there, he wants to be part of the team, he wants to practice, but he’d also like to do it with the helmet he’s worn his entire life. He wore this helmet in pee-wee football Womens Bo Jackson Jersey , high school football, college at Central Michigan, and he also wore this helmet his nine-year career.“People keep saying to me that there are 2,000 players that are wearing approved helmets, but there are very few, if any, that have worn the same helmet for their entire nine-year career. He’s a wide receiver. He gets hit across the middle. People are trying to take his head off. He’s a big target. You talk about how many catches he’s had over the last six years Bo Jackson Jersey , for example, this is his life. He’s risking everything. He’s got a family. He’s had a concussion before. This helmet has kept him safe. He’s had brutal hits. And we’re just trying to find a way to work it out.“We’ve worked very closely with the Raiders, we’ve worked very closely with the NFL, but I hope people can appreciate, this is not a simple issue. The helmet is the most important piece of equipment and he’s had the same one every single snap he’s played in his football career. This is a major issue for him.”Mayock made it quite clear that the Raiders want Brown to stop making his helmet a major issue and start practicing again. Rosenhaus thinks Brown is justified in seeking every possible avenue to wear the helmet of his choice.
MOBILE https://www.raiderslockerroom.com/authentic-derek-carr-jersey , Ala. (AP) — John Cominsky has more people watching Senior Bowl practices this week than he figures would typically attend his games at Division II Charleston.“We maybe had three or four hundred people max at our games watching us play,” the defensive lineman said. “Just the attention here has been completely new to me. A lot of these guys are used to it from the Power 5 schools. This is an experience I’ve never had. I can’t help but smile and be excited about it.”He’s not alone. While the Senior Bowl rosters are littered with players from Power 5 schools as usual — some of whom are already household names among college and NFL fans — there’s plenty of others looking to make an impression. That includes small-school stars who caught the attention of NFL teams while playing in front of small crowds away from the glamour of major college football. Saturday’s Senior Bowl will be the first nationally televised games for some.Players like Cominsky, Delaware cornerback Nasir Adderley and high school quarterback-turned left tackle Tytus Howard of Alabama State are competing against their big-school counterparts all week in front of NFL scouts, coaches and executives.Oakland Raiders coach Jon Gruden, who’s leading the North team, can relate to them somewhat as a product of the University of Dayton.“It’s huge. Carson Wentz proved a couple of years ago it doesn’t matter where you come from,” Gruden said. “There’s been a lot of obscure schools represented here. I think these guys have a chip on their shoulder, some of them. They want this. This is the only chance they can get to prove that they belong with the big boys. So keep an eye on a lot of these schools that aren’t your Power 5 conferences.”All told, the Senior Bowl rosters include 11 FCS players and three from Division II, including Cominsky. He arrived at Charleston as a 215-pound quarterback but measured in this week at 6-foot-5, 285 pounds. Now, NFL teams are getting a chance to see how he fares against bigger, stronger, faster blockers than he typically faced.“It’s a golden opportunity because the competition at D-2 just doesn’t cut it for these scouts,” Cominsky said. “It’s exciting to watch me run through somebody’s face but not when it’s at the Division II level. They want to see it bigger, better. You see these offensive linemen walking around here, these are the guys they want to see me do it to.”Gruden said small college products like wide receivers Keelan Doss (UC Davis) and Penny Hart (Georgia State) helped themselves in Wednesday’s practice, and also cited Cominsky. The practice was moved to South Alabama’s indoor facility because of the weather.“This Cominsky kid is also making people check the rosters to see who he is,” Gruden said. Here’s a look at a few of the other intriguing small-school products at the Senior Bowl:— Khalen Saunders, DT, Western Illinois: Missed the birth of daughter Kambridge Vonyea Saunders Tuesday to pursue his NFL dream in Mobile. “There’s no doubt if I love the game or not,” he said. The 6-foot, 320-pounder gained some attention for backflips and even caught a touchdown pass his senior season in addition to his defensive performance. He received scholarship offers from Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Auburn and Missouri out of high school — as a shot putter.— Andy Isabella, WR, UMass: Not an FCS product, but one who’s still from a lower profile program. One of three finalists for the Biletnikoff Award as the nation’s top receiver. Second-team Associated Press All-American after leading the FBS with 1,698 yards on 102 catches. How’d he fare against Power 5 teams? His resume includes a 219-yard performance against Georgia. Isabella also had 303 yards against Liberty, the most of any FBS or FCS receiver in a game on the season. He says he gained confidence he could play in the NFL after his first start against Florida as a sophomore. “In my head, you would have thought I was crazy but I always thought I was going to make it,” Isabella said. “I never really doubted myself.”— Adderley. He has drawn NFL buzz leading up to Senior Bowl week for his own play. His pedigree is impressive, too. His grandfather’s cousin, Herb Adderley, played for Vince Lombardi with the Green Bay Packers, and for the Dallas Cowboys, winning three Super Bowls. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1980.“He’s just one of the greatest to ever do it,” Nasir Adderley said. “I’m very fortunate to have him in my circle.”— Howard. He didn’t get a scholarship offer coming out of high school, where he played quarterback and says he could throw the ball 70 yards. He walked on at Alabama State as a 225-pound tight end. Now, Howard is a 6-5, 322-pounder.Howard never played tight end at the Southwestern Athletic Conference school but did catch a pass on a trick play against Grambling State as a junior. Howard is already lobbying for more chances for himself and his fellow linemen.“You’ve got tackles who can catch the ball so why not use them?” he said. “Nobody’s looking for it.It’s his blocking that could land him an NFL job, though.Senior Bowl head Jim Nagy said none of the players were token small-school invites.“I think every (small college) guy we brought in is going to get drafted and play a long time Derek Carr Jersey White ,” Nagy said. CARSON, Calif. (AP) — Although Jon Gruden is still settling back into coaching, he watched more than enough football from the broadcast booth over the past decade to know that the only logical thing to do with the ball on the goal line is to give it to Marshawn Lynch. And no matter what happens, definitely don’t call a pass instead.Just ask Pete Carroll — or, better yet, don’t.But the Oakland Raiders‘ new boss deliberately didn’t activate Beast Mode with first down on the Chargers‘ 1 late in the third quarter Sunday while the Raiders (1-4) were desperately trying to cut into a 20-3 deficit.Gruden called a play-action pass for Derek Carr, who promptly threw an end-zone interception to Los Angeles star Melvin Ingram. The Chargers also stole the Raiders’ momentum, made a 96-yard touchdown drive and cruised to a 26-10 victory over their longtime AFC West rivals, who still haven’t figured out how to maximize their opportunities during Gruden’s first year back.“The decision there was to throw it, and if it’s not open, to throw it away,” Gruden said. “It just didn’t work out. We expected to have a wide-open receiver on the play. Obviously that will be second-guessed. Rightfully so. But we should have made that (deliberately incomplete) throw down there, and live to hand the ball off on the next play.”Gruden’s brazen defiance of conventional Lynch wisdom dearly cost him and his team — and he can count his workhorse running back among those second-guessers he mentioned.Lynch was visibly upset on the sideline, tossing his helmet in the air and yelling loudly to himself while undoubtedly reliving memories of his Seattle Seahawks’ final play in the February 2015 Super Bowl.Carr also realized the folly of what happened. After all, when Lynch joined his hometown Raiders last year, Carr famously said there was “no way we’ll be on the 1-yard line and I won’t give it to Marshawn.”Gruden took the blame for the call, but also gently chided his quarterback for not executing at the pivotal moment.“First-and-goal at the 1, faking to Lynch has been a great call for a lot of years,” Gruden claimed. “I think (Carr) just presses at some moments.”Carr, who went 24 of 33 for 268 yards and one late touchdown, readily agreed with his new boss’ assessment of his predilection for pressing.“Absolutely. There’s no doubt,” Carr said. “That’s always been a problem of mine. It’s not a problem, it’s a weakness, is I’ve always just tried to do too much. It’s not always about heart. I just want to win so bad.”Carr also gave the Chargers credit on the interception, noting that his first two options were covered.“They did a great job, because on film it looked great, to be honest with you,” Carr said. “Obviously, Marshawn, we love to give him the ball and stuff like that, but we had seen some things they showed on film, and it was like, ‘This should be good.’ Obviously they covered it. Didn’t work.”The Raiders’ offensive failures weren’t limited to that one play-call on the Chargers’ goal line. Los Angeles outgained Oakland 412 yards to 289, and the Raiders’ offense managed only 14 first downs and a mere 41 yards rushing. After Amari Cooper had eight catches for 128 yards and a touchdown last week against Cleveland, the receiver had one catch for 10 yards on his only target against Los Angeles. Carr defended his inability to get the ball to Cooper, saying the Chargers were keyed on stopping the playmaking pass-catcher.Although Gruden and Carr have only one win together, they still appear to be connecting on the plan to build a long-term foundation for the Raiders.“We’re in such a production-oriented business,” Carr said. “We forget the process of things, and if you start getting down during the process, there’s never going to be any production. So when it happens like this, you stay the course and you keep going. You come out here and you don’t quit on what you’ve been doing.”
Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill has been a limited participant in practice for the second straight week and that’s opened the door to questions about how soon he will be back in the team’s lineup. If all goes well on Friday Aaron Colvin Jersey , he could be back for Sunday’s game against the Texans.Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Hill is set for tests to see how well the clavicle injury he suffered in Week One has healed. He adds that there is optimism around the team that those tests will come back with a green light for Hill to return to action after four weeks on the sideline.Getting Hill back would be a plus for the Chiefs under any circumstances. It would be particularly nice this weekend as Sammy Watkins hasn’t practiced since tweaking his hamstring early in last Sunday’s loss to the Colts, but test results will trump all other factors when it comes to Hill’s return. Justin Reid didn’t have to see the play again to know he’d kept Leonard Fournette out of the end zone on a 2-point conversion with seconds left that secured Houston’s win over Jacksonville on Sunday.“I was 100% confident,” he said. “I knew it on the field. I didn’t need to see the replay. I knew it was a stop.”Houston led by 7 in the fourth quarter when Jacksonville rookie Gardner Minshew led a long drive that included an 18-yard run on fourth-and-10, and he capped it with a 4-yard TD pass to DJ Chark.Instead of trying to tie it with an extra point, Jaguars coach Doug Marrone opted to go for the potential win by having Fournette attempt to run it in for the 2-point conversion. But the big running back was stopped by Reid. The play was upheld by video review, giving the Texans the 13-12 victory.Fournette believed he got in.“You seen it,” he said. “I tried to jump across and felt like I got over Ka’imi Fairbairn Jersey , but they thought otherwise.”Early in the fourth quarter, Whitney Mercilus used a nice spin move to evade a blocker and sacked Minshew to force a fumble, which was recovered by J.J. Watt on the 11-yard line. Carlos Hyde had an 8-yard run on second down, but was stopped short of a first down on the next play to bring up fourth-and-1. Deshaun Watson then scrambled in from 2 yards out for the touchdown to make it 13-3.Watson threw for 159 yards, and Hyde had 90 yards rushing for the Texans (1-1).“These games are tough,” coach Bill O’Brien said. “We didn’t do as well offensively as we want to do, and our defense picked us up. I think that was a really good team win.”Minshew Kendall Lamm Jersey , a sixth-round pick, threw for 213 yards and a touchdown for the Jaguars (0-2) in his first NFL start filling in for Nick Foles, who broke his collarbone last week.He was asked to evaluate his performance.“Not good because we lost,” he said. “That’s the moral of the story, but the silver lining is that we have some things that we can clean up and be a really, really good team so that’s very encouraging.”After being sacked six times in a loss to New Orleans last week, Watson was sacked four times Sunday — marking the eighth straight game in which he has been sacked at least four times. That ties him with Blake Bortles (2014-15) and Jeff George (1997-98) for the longest streak of games with at least four sacks since it became an official statistic in 1982.The Jaguars got to Watson on Sunday after failing to sack Patrick Mahomes in loss to Kansas City last week.Houston acquired left tackle Laremy Tunsil in a trade with Miami on Aug. 31 after Watson was sacked an NFL-high 62 times last season Joel Heath Jersey , but so far he hasn’t helped the quarterback take fewer blows.Watt had a nice game a week after not getting a tackle or quarterback hit for the first time in 105 career games, and finished with two tackles, a hit on Minshew and the fumble recovery.Along with Foles, the Jaguars were without four other starters as cornerback A.J. Bouye, receiver Marqise Lee, defensive end Yannick Ngakoue and left tackle Cam Robinson were all out with injuries.HEATED EXCHANGEJacksonville star cornerback Jalen Ramsey was seen arguing with Marrone early in the first quarter and missed what looked sure to be an interception in the third quarter. Houston was up by 3 when Ramsey got his hands on a pass from Watson, but couldn’t hold onto it. But the Texans couldn’t keep the drive going and had to punt three plays later. The Texans led 3-0 after a field goal with about two minutes left in the first quarter. Ramsey was apparently upset that Marrone didn’t challenge a catch by DeAndre Hopkins on third-and-2 earlier in that drive and the two were seen yelling at each other on the sideline after that drive.Marrone was asked about the exchange and didn’t provide many details.“There are a lot of emotions in the game D.J. Reader Jersey ,” he said. “I don’t know. I can’t recall.”Ramsey refused to talk to reporters after the game.MISSED CALL?Watt thought he played better than he did in the opener, but was frustrated about the Jaguars not being called for holding him, especially considering what he says an official told him after one play“The ref literally admitted to me that the guy held me on one play and he didn’t throw the flag,” Watt said. “I don’t know what I’m supposed to do with that, when after a play I look over to the ref, and he says, ‘Yes Christian Covington Jersey , I saw him hold you. But I didn’t throw the flag.’ So . I’ll probably get fined for this, and that’s fine. I don’t know what to do with that.”FOR KICKSThe Jaguars tied it with a field goal with about three minutes left in the first half.Houston took a 6-3 lead into halftime thanks to another field goal as time expired in the second quarter. Kenny Stills had a 31-yard reception to get the Texans to the 4 with 16 seconds left. But they only got one play off after that before the field goal as coach Bill O’Brien didn’t call a timeout despite having two.UP NEXTJaguars: Visit Tennessee Titans on Thursday night.Texans: Visit Los Angeles Chargers next Sunday.
The Lions signed Danny Amendola not only for his ability in the slot but also for his leadership and his familiarity with Matt Patricia’s way of doing things.Amendola already is rubbing off on his new teammates.“We’re still just figuring each other out Levine Toilolo Jersey , but I know one thing, his work ethic is crazy,” third-year receiver Kenny Golladay said, via Justin Rogers of the . “It’s through the roof. He wants to push everyone. And when you have a guy like that, a vet guy, a savvy vet, you just really want to follow up under him. I’m not going to let him go out there and out-run me.”Golladay, a third-round pick in 2017, made 70 catches for 1,063 yards and five touchdowns in 2018. The Lions, though, have a new coordinator in Darrell Bevell, who has brought a new scheme.“The challenge is just picking up where I left off,” Golladay said. “Don’t become complacent, you know. Just need to keep my same focus and that’s what I’m going to do.” A lot of us knew the Lions were a bad team. A lot of us expected the Bears to win.The way the Lions lost, however, is completely demoralizing. It’s an embarrassment to the fans, the city, and the players themselves. I came into this season with a lot of hope, as did many of my fellow Lions fans. That hope is all but gone now, and the cynic in me wants me to stop watching these games. Football is supposed to be entertainment Christian Jones Jersey , but as I watch the Lions struggling in every facet, I really can’t call them entertainment. At this point, it’s an addiction. It has a negative consequence on my health. I’m cradling a vodka bottle, blinds shut, sitting alone in a dark room wondering “Why?” Why can’t this offense thrive despite a lot of talent? Why does this defense look like they’re playing tag and not tackle football? Why isn’t the front office making enough moves to improve this team? Why did I volunteer to write this week’s stock report?I am forgoing the tradition of alliterative stock report titles. This game doesn’t deserve anything fun.Stock Up: Damon Harrison, DTHarrison continues to be the best defender on the Detroit Lions. Since his acquisition, the interior of the defensive line has been incredibly stout. The Bears running backs were held to below 3.0 yards per carry, despite leading most of the game. In previous weeks, the Lions have actually been quite decent against the run—a majority of the yardage has come on one or two large runs, which were usually a result of the linebackers failing to tackle. Unfortunately, Harrison doesn’t offer as much as a pass rusher, which has been a significant flaw for the defense.Stock Down: Nevin Lawson, CBThe Lions secondary continues to be a nightmare to deal with... for Lions fans. Darius Slay didn’t suit up due to injury, and that left Lawson as the No. 1 corner on the day.It was not a good day.Lawson’s coverage was severely lacking. Bears receivers Allen Robinson and Anthony Miller went over 100 yards. Mitchell Trubisky had a career high in yardage. While the secondary as a whole was awful, Lawson was the headline. Pass interference penalties have been a problem for Lawson in his career, and he had another in the end zone that led to a touchdown. The Lions badly need a CB2 across from Slay. Otherwise, this defense will continue to get torched.Stock Up: Kerryon Johnson, RBThe Lions offense has been very dysfunctional in recent weeks. Johnson, however, has not been a reason. Johnson was bottled up rushing against Seattle and Minnesota, and while his 51 yards and a rushing touchdown against the Bears isn’t overly impressive Devon Kennard Jersey , he displayed some excellent vision and burst, despite suffering an ankle injury earlier in the week. Kerryon is getting more involved in the passing game as well, registering six catches for 38 yards and a touchdown. He continues to be the Lions most effective weapon on offense.Stock Down: Jarrad Davis, LBInconsistency has been a huge issue for Davis this season. He had an excellent game versus Miami, while performing decently against Dallas and Seattle. On the other end of the spectrum, his games against New England and Minnesota were disastrous.Sadly, the Bears game was one of Davis’ worst performances. Coverage continued to be an issue for him. Tackling is always a challenge. For once, discipline was also a huge factor. Davis took an idiotic penalty by shoving Trubisky despite the quarterback clearly being out of bounds. Coupled with a poor job of pursuit, Davis took the mantle from Teez Tabor of worst 2017 draft pick of the day.Stock Up: Cody Parkey, KPeople will argue that Parkey was bad today. I disagree. Parkey was incredibly precise. He managed to hit the upright four times on his kicks. Each post is six inches wide. Parkey managed to hit a post from 33 yards (twice), 34 yards, and 41 yards. If you asked an NFL kicker to hit the uprights four times in one game, I doubt they could do it. This was a performance for the record books for Parkey.Wait, what do you mean Parkey isn’t a Detroit Lion?Stock Up: Zach Zenner, RBIt was an incredible day for Zach Zenner. Re-signed on November 6, Zenner was primed for a resurgence with the Lions. Ameer Abdullah, his longtime teammate, was waived in his stead. Not only was he competing for a roster spot, but he was competing to prove that he was worthy of his friend’s.Zenner made an impact on special teams, recording a tackle... I think. It might have been credited to someone else. But my heart credits him with the tackle. Zenner was also the most efficient runner on the day for the Lions, with an amazing 12 yards per carry average. He also had the longest run of the day for the Lions. This man can do it all.Quick HitsStock Up No Change:After such a disappointing result Isaac Nauta Detroit Lions Jersey , I can’t justify giving many players a stock up. Even if they did play well, this season is almost over. While I cannot speak for the players, I have to imagine that morale is low.Theo Riddick, RB: The Lions have been using Riddick as their Golden Tate replacement, to mixed results. Though he posted a decent six-catch, 60-yard performance, he is not as effective as Tate was, specifically at gaining yards after catch. Riddick’s best role is as a mismatch weapon against linebackers, not corners.Kenny Golladay, WR: Golladay emerged from a three week hibernation to post a solid 78 yards on six catches and a touchdown. Unfortunately, he and the Lions offense failed to make much of an impact in the first half.A’Shawn Robinson, DT: Much like Damon Harrison, Robinson was largely effective as a run defender. He and Snacks have made an excellent duo, and the big man has rebounded well from an early season benching. However, he suffered an ankle injury. We’ll see what happens.Da’Shawn Hand, DE: Hand had the lone sack for the Lions, and he continues to be a steal of a fourth-round pick.Darius Slay, CB: Slay was inactive due to an injury, but I’ll consider this a positive: he didn’t have to suffer through this game. Give him extra time to heal. This team isn’t going anywhere, so there’s no point rushing your stars.Quandre Diggs, DB: Diggs was the Lions’ best member of the secondary against the Bears. He had an excellent play where he broke up a would-be touchdown. Essentially no one on this Lions team has made plays like that.Charles Washington Isaac Nauta Jersey 2019 , S: Washington hasn’t made an impact on defense this season (which you could argue is a good thing), but he made a superb play on special teams. When the Lions attempted an onside kick, Washington managed to swat the ball away from the return man, which Nick Bellore promptly fell on.Matt Prater, K: He made a solid 52-yarder, but unlike Parkey, he did not manage to hit any uprights.Stock down:Everyone else: I am doing something different for this stock report, but hear me out.The team’s struggles against the Bears were not due to a single player. There is no “i” in “team,” nor is there an “i” in “stock down.” There are individual moments that accumulate into the conglomerate mess that was the 34-22 loss to the Bears. The offensive line is allowing numerous sacks.Glover Quin is looking incredibly slow.Sam Martin is shanking punts—and leaving on an ambulance.LeGarrette Blount is failing to do anything with the football.Tavon Wilson and DeShawn Shead are getting burnt in the secondary.Romeo Okwara and Devon Kennard are failing to put consistent pressure on quarterbacks.Lions tight ends struggle to make plays, while Eric Ebron thrives in Indianapolis. This game was a failure from everyone, even the players I gave a stock up to. Even though it ended as just a 12-point game, it was a classic instance of the Lions falling behind early, only to put up points when the game is out of reach. The Lions can’t win games by playing like this.CoachesMatt Patricia, Head Coach: Stock DownJim Bob Cooter, Offensive Coordinator: Stock DownPaul Pasqualoni, Defensive Coordinator: Stock DownJoe Marciano, Special Teams Coordinator: FiredOnce again, I am going to cheat because the coaching needs to be address as a unit. Earlier this week, we saw the first head roll, as Joe Marciano was fired. The Lions don’t technically have a replacement coordinator, instead opting for a makeshift staff primarily led by offensive assistant coach Derius Swinton. This is a Lions team that has not shown improvement. Issues that were apparent in the devastating losses to the Jets Color Rush Isaac Nauta Jersey , 49ers, Cowboys, and Seahawks, and Vikings are still prevalent—if anything, they’ve gotten worse. The play calling on offense has been lackluster, to put it politely. The defense has been so, so, SO incredibly frustrating to watch. There was one play where Anthony Miller was so wide open that his head did a 270 degree scan to see where the defenders were. It is mind-numbing that a professional football team can look so entirely clueless. Special teams were decent compared to recent weeks, but that is more of a statement regarding how poor they were playing. They managed one special teams penalty this week, and while this is an improvement, it is still a troubling sign. Meanwhile, when considering a 55-yard field goal, one member of the kicking unit was late, so the Lions called a timeout. The Lions then opted to punt, pinning the Bears at the 9. They promptly went 91 yards for a touchdown. Even the successful onside kick was not without complication—that was actually the second attempt at an onside kick, since the previous failed attempt was nullified due to an illegal formation on Diggs that was offset by Miller intentionally batting the ball out of bounds. In the end, all of this should fall on the shoulders of the head coach. Matt Patricia has not been able to resurrect this team. Jim Caldwell was fired from a 9-7 team because the organization wanted to do better. They wanted playoff success. Half a season through the Patricia era, it doesn’t seem like that will happen. I’m not condemning him yet—after all, some of the blame can be attributed to the team Bob Quinn has assembled. However, we need to see some form of improvement. This is rock bottom.
The Saints’ success with Taysom Hill Dre Kirkpatrick Jersey , using him as a Swiss Army knife, has prompted several other teams to look for a third-string quarterback who can do more than carry a clipboard on game day. The Bengals are experimenting with Jeff Driskel at receiver.Driskel took snaps at receiver in Tuesday’s 11-on-11 work, Jay Morrison of TheAthletic.com reports.Driskel previously practiced at the position in one practice in 2017.“I’m still competing at quarterback,” Driskel said, via Morrison. “That’s what I want to be. That’s what I think I can be. But I just want to show that I can add value to this team in other ways and show that I want to contribute and can contribute.”Driskel is competing with fourth-round choice Ryan Finley for the backup job behind Andy Dalton. With Finley slated to get second-team work Thursday night in Washington, Driskel approached special teams coordinator Darrin Simmons about working with Simmons’ unit.Bengals head coach Zac Taylor asked Driskel about playing receiver Tuesday.“Let me make this clear: He is not out of the quarterback competition by any stretch Billy Price Jersey ,” Taylor said. “He just feels like he can help us, and we feel like he can help us on special teams, and you saw him take a couple of reps at receiver. He’s a great athlete. He’s 232 pounds. He’s explosive. He has good hands. Those guys are hard to come by. We’ll keep giving him a look. But it doesn’t change. He goes to quarterback meetings. He goes to quarterback individual [drills]. He still takes his reps. That does not cut into that at all.”As all players know, the more things you can do, the better chance you have to make the 53-player roster . . . and to play. The Bengals made a move up in Round 4 to get this quarterback."The Cincinnati Bengals struck a trade with the San Francisco 49ers to kick off Round 4. Cincinnati moved up from pick No. 110 to No. 104 to select NC State quarterback Ryan Finley. The official compensation the Bengals have given up is the 183rd and the 198th overall selections. This leaves the Bengals with four sixth-round picks. In the days leading up to the draft, it was reported that Finley was the only quarterback the Bengals brought in for a visit Jessie Bates Jersey , despite perceived interest in other quarterbacks. Based on the aggressiveness Cincinnati showed with this move, it appears they had their eyes on Finley and Finley only. The sixth quarterback taken in the draft, Finley was three-year starter at North Carolina State after transferring from Boise State. In 2018, he was First Team All-ACC and a finalist for the William V. Campbell trophy, which is awarded to the best scholar-athlete in the nation. On the field, Finley has prototypical size at the position and experience. He has impressive intermediary accuracy Sam Hubbard Jersey , touch and feel for coverages. Average arm strength and mobility, along with his age (he turns 25 in December) is what likely limits him as an average starter. With this move, Head coach Zac Taylor can develop Finley into a long-term option for the Bengals at the backup quarterback spot and likely puts Jeff Driskel’s roster spot in jeopardy. Very rarely do quarterbacks taken this late end up as long-term starters, but that shouldn’t be the expectation for Finley. The Bengals have seven picks remaining today.Bengals’ remaining top draft needs are:DE, DT, LB Malik Jefferson Jersey , WR, RB2019 Bengals Draft PicksRoundPick NumberRoundPick NumberDay 3 NFL Draft schedule: 12 p.m. ET, Saturday, April 27Here’s a link to the full seven-round NFL Draft order and live draft tracker!

Throughout the offseason, we send 32 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Los Angeles Rams fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.<hr class="p-entry-hr" id="atWj9F">The cycle is inescapable.Every year, three forces push NFL fan bases to refill the wellspring of optimism as they head toward the regular season.First is the sheer power of the parity the NFL offers. This isn’t the NBA, a league dominated by the weight that its superstars provide (see: the 2018-19 Toronto Raptors). In the NFL, teams can turn things around on a dime with a good offseason. So fans of teams that struggled mightily last year don’t have to be tied to that performance once the offseason comes rolling in.Second is how most media cover the offseason. It’s nearly impossible in nearly all NFL situations to gauge which players or coaches are going to underperform based on the offseason program. So instead of any analysis that lines up with outcomes Cheap Greg Gaines Jersey , we get the kind of coverage we’ve been accustomed to since...well, forever. Player A looks fast. Player B made a nice catch. Great breakup from Player C. Who knew Player D was so athletic? This is the modern-era NFL. Every single one of these humans are insanely physcially gifted. And so what you get with offseason reporting is a litany of plaudits and compliments and praise that never gets balanced out with what would otherwise be an appropriate level of criticism or reprehension. For two and a half months, fan bases are told repeatedly how good players are looking. The third factor at work is who is feeding the media so much of this praise. It’s the team itself. Every team goes through free agency and the draft. Every team has a plan for how they want to invest in those periods. Every team believes in their plan. Not every team’s plan will work. In fact, several won’t. Many free agents won’t fit. Many rookies will bust. But if you only ask the team who selected those players, they’re not going to tell you why it won’t work. They’re only going to buy into their own reasoning. So coupled with the media’s impossible job from OTAs on, you’ve got another layer of repeated positive reinforcement. Coaches are really impressed with this rookie! Players who have been with a team for years are really excited about how well this new free agent is fitting in!Those three factors every year take over every fan base to pull the entire rooting NFL world into a state of optimism. That isn’t to say every fan base thinks their team is going 14-2. Instead Custom Greg Gaines Jersey , what you get is a conditioned sense of optimism given the constraints each team is facing. And yet again, our FanPulse results show this at work. Our most recent polling asked fans whether they thought their team would win more or less games than their over/under as set by Westgate. While you can tell where this is headed, let’s rewind a bit just to set the stage.Every week during the 2018 season, we asked fans whether they were confident in the direction of the team. Heading into Week 1 of the regular season, 30 of 32 fan bases polled 80% or higher in their confidence. tier. For 23 teams, more than 75% of their fan base is taking the over. That’s about 3⁄4 of the entire NFL hitting the over. You don’t have to be conversant in any advanced mathematical theory to recognize that that doesn’t match up with reality. The odds we used had 21 teams with an over/under of at least 8 wins. Every fan base took the over. There aren’t going to be 21 teams with winning record. And it’s not just teams with high o/u’s.The Denver Broncos’ o/u is 7.0. 86% of Broncos fans took the over. The Detroit Lions’ o/u is 6.5. 91% of Lions fans took the over. The Buffalo Bills’ o/u is 6.5. 96% of Bills fans took the over. For the Los Angeles Rams Greg Gaines Los Angeles Rams Jerseys , we had an incredibly high o/u of 10.5. The only team with a higher one was the New England Patriots at 11 wins (only 1% of Pats fans took the under...). 95% of Rams fans took the over. That’s the power of the cycle. Don’t blame Rams fans for being uniquely close-minded. The New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs also had a 10.5 over/under. Their fan bases clocked in at 92% and 88%, respectively. The cycle is indeed powerful. Here’s hoping we’re one of the few teams who end up on their other side of it with reality coming anywhere close to the aspirations that get fed into it. What I am talking about is a small (tiny?) school guy who came into the league as an undrafted free agent Los Angeles Rams Jerseys Stitched , grinded his way onto an NFL practice squad, and resiliently fighting his way onto the Los Angeles Rams’ 53-man active roster for 14 weeks of his rookie season.Roster BattleThe potential to make the roster for a second year running is very attainable for Hodge. As it stands, there are likely four locks for the Rams’ wide receiver depth chart: Robert Woods, Brandin Cooks, Cooper Kupp, and Josh Reynolds. That leaves one or two spots open for guys who can contribute on special teams. KR/PR JoJo Natson may have a head start on one roster spot as he poses a threat as a return specialist Greg Gaines Jersey nfl draft , though Hodge is not one to sleep on as his skills as a gunner and trick-play specialist were evident in 2018.ExpectationsBarring any serious injuries, much isn’t expected from Hodge in 2018 as the top four receivers are firmly locked into their roles. Making the 53-man roster should be the goal heading into the 2019 season.Chances of making the final roster (5.5/10)Hodge has a decent shot to make the roster. It’ll likely come down to whether the Rams decide to roster five or six receivers. If they go with five, Hodge could very well land on the practice squad, though he’s got the inside track for the sixth receiver job if that’s the route the Rams choose.
Giants beat reporter Matt Lombardo says the Chiefs will be in the mix for one of the most prominent free agents on the market."The Kansas City Chiefs may be in the market for soon-to-be free agent safety Landon Collins Reggie Ragland Jersey , according to a new report from NJ.com New York Giants beat reporter Matt Lombardo. The Giants told Collins he would not be receiving the franchise tag on Tuesday.Lombardo lists the Chiefs among five teams that could be in the mix for Collins. Whether the ultimate result is outright release or trade, it appears that linebacker Justin Houston has played his final game with the Chiefs. As Lombardo states, the Chiefs could use that money to bring Collins aboard.Collins played safety under now-current Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo from 2015, his rookie season, to 2017, when Spagnuolo was let go by New York. Our own Matt Lane covered how Spagnuolo used Collins in his initial piece on what the 4-3 under/hybrid defense change means for the Chiefs secondary.Later in the piece Lane also explains how Collins had his best seasons under Spagnuolo. In addition to the reasons above, it is worth noting the Chiefs expressed interest in Collins at last year’s trade deadline, according to Yahoo! Sports’ Terez Paylor. Before eventually signing linebacker Anthony Hitchens and wide receiver Sammy Watkins during last offseason’s free agency, Chiefs general manager Brett Veach picked up the phone and called the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Rams http://www.chiefslockerroom.com/authentic-spencer-ware-jersey , respectively, in 2017. Deals couldn’t be worked out at the time, but he eventually acquired the players. At many points during this time of year, you’ll hear people reference “smoke.” That is short for, “If there is smoke, there is fire.”When it comes to Collins, there is too much smoke—the Houston rumors, the Spagnuolo connection, the Veach history Womens Carlos Hyde Jersey , oh, and a chance to play with the MVP—for there not to be fire.As long as the Chiefs can figure out the cap space, Collins will be a Chief next season. At least, that is where I’d bet my money. Only one team picked a player in this year’s supplemental draft" Kansas City Chiefs NewsNFL Supplemental Draft ends with no Chiefs picksNew,8commentsOnly one team picked a player in this year’s supplemental draftCDTThe NFL Supplemental Draft was held on Wednesday. The Kansas City Chiefs did not make offers for any players that were available.Just one player was selected: Washington State safety Jalen Thompson, who was taken by the Arizona Cardinals with a 2020 fifth-round pick.Thompson was one of a handful of players eligible for this year’s supplemental draft — a group that also included West Virginia wide receiver Marcus Simms, Syracuse linebacker Shyheim Cullen, St. Francis (Ill.) cornerback Bryant Perry and Northland (Minn.) tight end Devonaire Clarington. These players were not eligible for the NFL Draft in April, but have become eligible since then because their status has changed in some way — for example Demarcus Robinson Jersey , academics, discipline and so on.Any player not selected in the supplemental draft becomes an undrafted free agent who may sign with any team.According to a report from Tom Pelissero of NFL network, one of them — Simms — has already signed a deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars.Unlike its flashy cousin held in April, the supplemental draft isn’t held in a big auditorium filled with NFL fans. There is no TV coverage. The participants don’t even get together in one place.Instead, is is conducted via email with the league office.Totally boring. But still... once in a while, a noteworthy player is selected in the supplementary draft.Hall of Fame wide receiver Cris Carter was selected in 1987 after being suspended for hiring an agent while he was still in college.Ahmad Brooks was selected in 2006 after being dismissed from his college team.Josh Gordon was selected in 2012 after failing a marijuana test. The 2020 NFL Supplemental Draft will be held next July.Don’t check your local listings.
New England has made some moves."The New England Patriots have officially signed the first members of their 2019 rookie class. According to the NFL’s transaction wire Youth Drew Bledsoe Jerseys , the club has added the following ten undrafted free agents to its 90-man roster:All of the moves have already been reported previously, so today’s announcement is merely a confirmation of those reports. With that in mind, let’s find out a bit more about each of the players via our Patriots Undrafted Free Agents Tracker:OT Calvin Anderson, Texas (6050, 300 lbs): Anderson is a raw prospect at this point in his career: he has the frame to find success as a run blocker and pass protector, but needs to work on his hand usage and improve his fluidity. All in all, the 23-year-old is a project for Patriots offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia to work with — but should not necessarily be counted on to grow into anything more than a camp body.TE Andrew Beck, Texas (6040, 260 lbs): Serving primarily as a blocking tight end, Beck caught just 39 passes for 435 yards and 4 touchdown during his collegiate career. A team captain at Texas, he has adequate size to improve as a target in the aerial game but lacks the functional athleticism and route-running skills to make that step just yet.RB Nick Brossette, LSU (5111, 209 lbs): 2018 was Brossette’s breakout season at LSU, as he lead the team with 240 carries, 1,039 yards and 14 touchdowns. Despite being a physical runner with solid vision and skills as a pass protector Drew Bledsoe Jerseys Stitched , Brossette does not stand out in any particular category. In New England, he will therefore serve as a depth option behind Sony Michel and third-round rookie Damien Harris.WR Ryan Davis, Auburn (5099, 189 lbs): Playing alongside Patriots fourth-round draft pick Jarrett Stidham, Davis led Auburn in receptions (69) and yards (546) in 2018. He lined up all over the formation for the Tigers, but projects primarily as a slot receiver at the next level due to his combination of quickness and size. Davis also has experience as a punt returner.SS Malik Gant, Marshall (5116, 209 lbs): A physical defensive back, Gant was used in various ways at Marshall. Given his frame and tackling abilities, however, he appears best suited to serve as a safety/linebacker hybrid at the next level: aligning closer to the box allows him to play off strengths in the running game and should ideally give him more favorable coverage matchups against tight ends and running backs.OL Tyler Gauthier, Miami (6050, 300 lbs): Gauthier served as Miami’s starting center for the last two years and therefore brings lots of experience to the table. A solid pass protector than surrendered no sacks in 2018 and only 10 total pressures, he also possesses the versatility and size to successfully line up as a guard.LB Terez Hall, Missouri (6011, 230 lbs): What Hall may lack in size Youth Kevin Faulk Jerseys , he makes up with his physicality as a downhill defender and coverage player. While his decision making and general feel for the game need to improve, he could find a role on the Patriots’ roster as a depth linebacker and special teams option. Hall was given a guaranteed $70,000 base salary as well as a $10,000 signing bonus, according to the Houston Chronicle’s Aaron Wilson.WR Jakobi Myers, N.C. State (6016, 203 lbs): A bigger slot receiver at 6’2, Myers has the quickness and ball skills to find success at the next level. Despite not being the most explosive wideout, Myers was productive during his final season at N.C. State: appearing in 12 games, he caught a team-high 92 passes for 1,047 yards and 4 touchdowns.CB D’Angelo Ross, New Mexico (5080, 175 lbs): Despite his height, Ross earned a starting spot in New Mexico and turned into a productive player for the Lobos: the speester registered a pair of interceptions and six additional pass deflections. At the next level, he will likely have to make his mark through special teams or as a slot cornerback.OT Tyree St. Louis, Miami (6050 Kevin Faulk Jerseys Stitched , 305 lbs): St. Louis brings plenty of experience — he started 34 straight games to end his college career — and versatility to the table, as well as an intriguing frame. However, the Miami product needs to improve all facets of his technique to become more consistent in the running and the passing game. The Patriots have also signed defensive lineman Nick Thurman. After going undrafted in 2018, the Houston Texans signed Thurman as a free agent. Despite registering eleven tackles in his team’s four preseason contests, Bill O’Brien’s team opted to part ways with him again and waived him as part of final roster cuts. Thurman failed to find a new home and ultimately headed to the now-defunct Alliance of American Football. The 6’4, 295-pound defender never appeared in a game for the San Antonio Commanders, however, as he was let go before the AAF’s first (and only) season even began. In early April, Thurman finally found his way onto an NFL roster again when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed him as a free agent. His stint with the club was a short one: following last week’s draft, he was released again. Now, the 23-year-old will join a Patriots team that is undergoing a transformation along the defensive edge with Michael Bennett and Chase Winovich prime candidates to help fill the spots previously occupied by Trey Flowers and Adrian Clayborn. Thurman will add the competition for a role alongside them as well as fellow top options Deatrich Wise Jr. and John Simon.[UPDATE 05/02/2019; 5:44 p.m.] According to the team itself, the Patriots have also signed defensive lineman Shilique Calhoun. Originally joining the league in 2016 as a third-round draft pick by the Oakland Raiders, Calhoun appeared in 26 NFL games so far in his career: a rotational defensive edge and special teamer, the Michigan State product bounced around the Raiders’ active roster and practice squad — and last year, injured reserve as well. After starting the 2018 season on Oakland’s practice squad, Calhoun was promoted to the active roster in mid-September. He went on to appear in seven games Youth Andre Tippett Jerseys , registering twelve tackles and a quarterback hit. However, his season came to an end when the Raiders placed him on injured reserve due to a knee injury in December. Oakland did not re-sign Calhoun after the season had ended, which allowed him to sign with the Patriots now. OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — The Coliseum Authority approved a lease agreement Friday to keep the Raiders in Oakland for at least one more season. The board voted unanimously to approve the lease for 2019 with an option for 2020. The rent will drop by $500,000 each year if the Raiders decide to play one of their two home exhibition games at another site. The Coliseum Authority will retain naming rights for the stadium and get an additional $750,000 from the team to settle a dispute over parking revenue.Barring any unforeseen setbacks in Las Vegas, this likely will be the Raiders’ final season in Oakland after moving back from Los Angeles in 1995. The Raiders began playing at the Coliseum in 1966 and were there through the 1981 season before going to Southern California.New Raiders star receiver Antonio Brown said earlier this week he was excited to be part of the final season in the East Bay.“For me to be here in Oakland Antonio Brown Jersey White , a part of the Oakland Raiders and be able to be on the last team that’s ever going to be here in Oakland, it’s something special in itself,” he said. “So, it’s pressure in that, it’s excitement in that, and there is a lot that comes with that Bo Jackson Jersey White , and I’m here today ready to embrace all that.”The Raiders had pulled out of lease extension talks after Oakland sued the team and the NFL over the planned move to Las Vegas. But with the Raiders planning to practice at the facility in Alameda in 2019, staying in the Bay Area was always the top priority. The Raiders had talks about sharing a stadium with the San Francisco Giants, but that was opposed by the 49ers under territorial rights they have for San Francisco. The Raiders also could have looked into sharing Levi’s Stadium with the 49ers, although owner Mark Davis was opposed to that option. The NFL needed to get a final answer on where the Raiders will play this season in order to put together the 2019 schedule, which is expected to be released in April.
